Debate Topic Proposals & Team Draw
All students are invited to our debate event! Propose a debate topic in Turkish or English, and volunteer to be a debater if you'd like to take the stage.
How it works
- Open the form using the link below and enter the debate language, your proposed topic, your full name, your department and whether you volunteer to debate.
- Deadline: 28 October 2026, 12:00 (Turkey time). A countdown on the page shows the time left.
- When time is up, the system automatically and randomly selects a Pro team of 3 and a Con team of 3 for each topic from the volunteers.
- The draw results are published on the same page.
Topic rules
- The topic must be debatable, with a clear pro side and a clear con side.
- Write it as a motion, not a question (e.g. “This house would abolish compulsory attendance at universities.”).
- Settled facts, one-sided topics, and topics that target individuals or are disrespectful are not accepted.
- Draw rule: no student will ever debate (pro or con side) the topic they proposed.
