Progress monitoring
Follows your academic standing; if you fail a course, looks into the reasons with you and seeks solutions.
Guidance
Guides you on adjustment, professional development and career, and passes your problems on to the relevant units.
The last step of every semester's registration is meeting your advisor face to face and getting approval.
Your advisor sets at least two office hours per week and announces them.
1 meeting
Monthly meeting
You meet your advisor, individually or in a group, at least once a month.
1 week
Advisor assignment
The advisor is assigned at least one week before course registration dates.
Your advisor is on campus during registration periods. If unavailable, they hand the duty to another instructor and announce it at least one day in advance.

Course registration in three steps
1
Fees
Tuition and any outstanding financial obligations from previous terms are paid.
2
Online registration
Courses are selected through the system on the dates in the academic calendar.
3
Advisor approval
You meet your advisor face to face and get registration approval.
When you add or drop courses, every change needs advisor approval again.
Source: Regulation art. 26
5 / 23
Missing registration
A student who does not renew registration becomes unregistered.
The consequence
During this time you cannot attend courses or exams or use student rights. Unregistered periods count toward your study duration.
If you have an excuse
Apply to the Rectorate with a petition documenting the reason, at the latest by the end of that term's add-drop period. If the excuse is accepted, the Student Affairs Office renews your registration.

Course load
Situation
Courses you can take
GPA of at least 2.00
Up to one course above the normal load
GPA of at least 2.50
Up to two courses above the normal load
Every term
At least three credit courses
Raising your load needs advisor approval. The minimum does not apply to a student who can graduate at the end of the term.

Attendance requirement
70%
of theory courses
You must attend at least 70% of each course.

Withdrawal is done within the seventh week of the term.

Prohibited items and cheating
An exam taken with prohibited devices is invalid.
Mobile phones, pagers, radios, pocket computers, watches with functions beyond telling time and devices with computer features; cutting tools and firearms.
The exam is cancelled the moment cheating occurs and the invigilator prepares a report.
Writing questions or answers on paper and taking them out of the room is also attempted cheating.
The disciplinary board decides whether an act counts as cheating.

Make-up exam
Midterm exams
If you have a valid medical report or another valid reason, a make-up exam is held. Its day and time are announced one week in advance. If there are two midterms in a term, you can take it for only one.
Finals and resits
The right to a make-up exam depends on the decision of the faculty or school board. Submit your report and petition on time.
A student who does not take the make-up exam has used their right; no additional exam is given.
The report must reach the Faculty, Vocational School or Institute Secretariat within this time after it ends.
24 hours
If there is an exam
If an announced exam falls within the report period, the report must reach your unit's management within this time.
10 days
Long reports
Reports longer than ten days must be medical board reports.
A valid report comes from an institution recognized by SGK, the Social Security Institution, and has “rest” in its content. Caregiver reports and status certificates are not processed.

13 / 23
Points to watch with reports
No classes or exams during a report
If you attend, your exam grades and attendance records become invalid and disciplinary action applies. If you recover before the report ends, you can submit a report showing that, with a petition.
A report given after the exam is not considered
If a report is given to the administration after you have taken the exam, the exam is valid.
Reports from outside Antalya province
Unless it results from a documented accident or you can document that you were out of town, such a report is not a valid excuse for exams.
